About LaurenÂ
How I came to do what I do?

All my life I have been an empathetic listener; to family, friends, and even the taxi driver. I loved hearing peoples' stories, beliefs, and world views. Initially, I became a public school teacher, but my heart led me back to social and emotional health. I then became a school counsellor, but the meetings and paperwork seemed to dominate the therapy time. Finally, I moved into private practice, where I can finally be of service to you, and others in a way that supports my mission.

What is my mission?

My mission as your counsellor is to help you to be the best version of yourself. This means I will help you to begin to move past the issues you came to therapy with. So, even if the problem is not entirely gone, you will be in a better place than before. Healing and processing is a journey, let me help you to get started.
